Coweta Water and Sewer Authority Municipal Water Report Info

The Coweta County Water and Sewerage Authority ("CCWSA") was established by the Georgia General Assembly in 2001 under the Coweta County Water and Sewerage Authority Act. The Authority formally acquired ownership and operational control of the water and sewer infrastructure from the County on June 6, 2007.

CCWSA is dedicated to delivering premium water services through its award-winning treatment facilities to over 27,000 active water customers and 2,400 sewer clients throughout Coweta County and neighboring communities. As a recognized "WaterFirst Community," CCWSA demonstrates strong commitment to water resource stewardship and consistently aims to exceed industry standards for environmental protection.

The B.T. Brown Water Treatment Plant has a daily capacity of 10 million gallons and earned the prestigious Gold Award in both 2013 and 2014, plus excellence in operations recognition in 2009 and 2011 from the Georgia Association of Water Professionals (GAWP). Wastewater services are provided through three treatment facilities: Arnco, Sargent, and Shenandoah – with the latter receiving the GAWP Gold Award in 2013, 2014, and 2016.

Beyond its exceptional facilities, CCWSA has garnered recognition for innovation through its state-acclaimed Cross-Connection Control Program and commitment to safety practices, consistently receiving the Golden Backhoe award annually since 2013. This exemplary performance stems from employees who are deeply invested in community service through superior customer care, water conservation initiatives, and volunteer efforts.
