We're pleased to present this year's Annual Municipal Water Quality Report to our community. This document provides a snapshot of last year's water quality analysis. We've included information about your water sources, what they contain, and how they compare to regulatory standards.

Our primary goal is to provide you with safe, reliable municipal water. We're committed to transparent communication about our ongoing efforts to improve water treatment processes and protect our valuable water resources. Informed customers are our greatest allies in maintaining high-quality water service.

The water supplied by our system is purchased surface water from the Neuse Regional Water and Sewer Authority located at 2811 Barrus Rd., Lagrange. Our supply is supplemented by 12 wells owned and operated by Deep Run Water Corp, drawing from the Black Creek and Pee Dee aquifers.

In July 2017, the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources conducted Source Water Assessment Program (SWAP) evaluations for all North Carolina drinking water sources. These assessments identify Potential Contaminant Sources (PCSs) that might affect water quality. The results, including maps and background information, are available in SWAP Assessment Reports with relative susceptibility ratings of Higher, Moderate, or Lower.

1. How often is my meter read? Residential meters are read quarterly while commercial meters are read monthly.
2. What if my tenant doesn't pay their water bill? Property owners are ultimately responsible for unpaid tenant water bills for services provided by the Authority.
3. Where can I pay my water bill? Bills can be paid at the Beaver Falls Municipal Authority office at 1425 Eighth Avenue during regular business hours. An after-hours drop box is also available.
4. Which part of the waterline am I responsible for? Residential customers are responsible for the section from the shut-off valve near the street edge (curb stop) up to the water meter. All plumbing after the meter is the customer's responsibility.
5. How can I check for water leaks? Turn off all water-using appliances and fixtures, then check the small leak detection triangle on your meter dial. If it's rotating (even slightly), you likely have a leak.
6. How can I detect toilet leaks? Add a few drops of food coloring to your toilet tank and wait ten minutes. If colored water appears in the bowl, your toilet is leaking.
7. Is Fluoride added to my water? Beaver Falls Municipal Authority water contains approximately one part per million of Fluoride.
8. What is the water hardness level? In 2007, hardness ranged from 76 mg/l (4.44 grains/gal) to 140 mg/l (8.19 grains/gal).
