Thank you for visiting the City of Fremont's Water Treatment Plant webpage. This resource provides essential information about Fremont's municipal water supply.

The Sandusky River serves as the primary source for Fremont's municipal water. The process begins when water is pumped from the river to the Fremont Reservoir, then flows naturally by gravity to the Treatment facility.

The Fremont Water Treatment plant operates with a capacity of 14 million gallons per day, with average daily production at 5.5 million gallons and annual daily maximum of 8.8 million gallons. All water produced meets or exceeds applicable State and Federal quality standards.

Our mission is to deliver the highest quality water possible to Fremont residents. This page offers access to various resources including plant history, water quality assessments, and annual reporting. We welcome any questions regarding our treatment processes or water quality standards.
