About Us
Golden State Water acknowledges California residents for their exceptional conservation initiatives and encourages everyone to maintain wise water usage habits to support the state's drought recovery efforts. Following several unusually dry winter periods, all residents must embrace conservation as part of California's lifestyle.
On May 9, 2016, Governor Jerry Brown issued an Executive Order permanently prohibiting wasteful water practices. These restrictions include: no hosing of sidewalks and driveways, car washing only with shut-off nozzle equipped hoses, operating fountains only with recirculating systems, preventing excessive landscape runoff, no watering within 48 hours after rainfall, and banning potable water irrigation of public street median turf.
Golden State Water appreciates customers' ongoing conservation commitment. For additional drought information and local water restrictions, please visit http://www.gswater.com/drought/ or call 1.800.999.4033.
