The Henry County Water Authority (HCWA) was established in 1961 through an Act of the Georgia General Assembly to "secure, construct, and maintain projects encompassing water supply sources and the distribution and sale of water and related facilities." The Act further outlines various responsibilities, including establishing a sewer system.

MISSION STATEMENT: The Henry County Water Authority (HCWA) is committed to its fundamental purpose as a public utility: to provide and protect an adequate water supply and system, including wastewater collection and treatment, of the highest quality, while meeting or exceeding all regulatory requirements as economically as possible and in an environmentally-sound manner, for Henry County's growing residential, commercial and industrial needs.
