La Vergne Water System
About Us
The La Vergne Water System has served the community since 1972, with the water treatment facility receiving authorization to operate in November 1992. The system has expanded significantly from just 3,500 service connections in 1993 to over 13,000 today. Water usage has substantially increased since the facility's construction, now delivering more than 4 million gallons daily as of 2017.
Following the events of September 2001, we understand our customers have security concerns about their municipal water. We encourage the public to report any suspicious activities at utility facilities, including treatment plants, pumping stations, tanks, fire hydrants, etc. by calling 615-793-7744.
All water, including bottled varieties, can reasonably be expected to contain at least small amounts of some contaminants. The presence of contaminants doesn't necessarily indicate a health risk. For more information about contaminants and potential health effects, please contact the EPA's Safe Drinking Water Hotline at 1-800-426-4791. If you have questions about this report or your water, please contact Dwayne Lowry at 615-793-6536.
