About Us
Loudoun Water's mission is to sustainably manage water resources while advocating for community health, environmental protection, and quality of life. We are committed to delivering clean, safe municipal water to all our customers.
Our infrastructure includes over 1,250 miles of water distribution pipelines, more than 900 miles of wastewater collection system, and an expanding reclaimed non-potable water network. As a political subdivision of Virginia, Loudoun Water operates independently from Loudoun County government. All revenue comes from customer fees for operations or developer fees for infrastructure improvements.
The utility is governed by an eight-member Board appointed by the County Board of Supervisors for four-year terms. This Board appoints our General Manager who oversees daily operations. Located approximately 25 miles northwest of Washington D.C., Loudoun County spans 517 square miles and ranks among the fastest-growing counties nationwide over the past decade.
With projections indicating Loudoun will maintain one of the highest population and job growth rates in the Washington region for the next two decades, we continuously update our Capital Improvement Program to ensure we meet future demands.
