If sewage from the City Sewer System is backing up into your home, contact the Sewer Department at 860-638-3500 during business hours, or call Central Dispatch at 860-346-8621 after hours.
- What fee applies to connect to the Sanitary Sewer System? The standard Residential Fee for Sanitary Sewer Service connection is $3,500. Different fees may apply for commercial and industrial connections. Contact the Engineering Division for details.
- What is the cost to connect to the Public Water System? The Standard Residential Fee for Water Service connection is $3,250. Other fees may apply for commercial and industrial connections. Please contact the Engineering Division for more information.
- Why is my water usage unusually high? Several factors could cause elevated usage readings, including leaking toilets or plumbing fixtures, excessive summer lawn watering, or possibly a meter reading error. For questions about usage, please contact our Water Department's Billing Personnel who will gladly verify your reading.
