New Baltimore Regional Municipal Water Report Info

Loudoun Water delivers municipal and wastewater services to over 75,000 households throughout Loudoun County. Our water is sourced from both the Potomac River and Goose Creek. The Potomac River water undergoes comprehensive treatment by our supplier, Fairfax Water, while Goose Creek water is fully processed at our dedicated Goose Creek Water Treatment Facility.

At Loudoun Water, our mission centers on responsible water resource management that promotes health, environmental protection, and quality of life. We're committed to providing clean, safe municipal water to all our customers.

To fulfill this commitment, Loudoun Water maintains an extensive infrastructure network including over 1,250 miles of water distribution pipelines, more than 950 miles of wastewater collection system, and a growing reclaimed non-potable water system.

As a political subdivision of Virginia, Loudoun Water operates independently from Loudoun County government. Our funding comes exclusively from customer fees (covering operational costs) and developer fees (funding capital improvements). We're governed by a nine-member Board appointed by the County Board of Supervisors, with members serving four-year terms with possibility of reappointment. This Board selects our General Manager, who oversees daily operations.

Loudoun County spans 517 square miles in northern Virginia, approximately 25 miles northwest of Washington, D.C. It ranks among the fastest-growing counties nationwide over the past decade and is projected to maintain high population and business growth rates throughout the region for the next 20 years. Loudoun Water continues to prepare for this anticipated growth through our comprehensive Capital Improvement Plan.
