About Us
The Florencia Creek Water Program in Oneida was established in 1926. The current water treatment facility was completed in the early 1980s to provide filtration for the city's upland supply, primarily addressing issues with taste, odor, and color.
Today, the Oneida Water Department serves over 21,000 residents and supplies an average of 2.3 million gallons daily (2.3 MGD). The department employs 16 dedicated professionals who treat, monitor, maintain, construct, and distribute water through more than 81.6 miles of infrastructure spanning two regions, three cities, five towns, and four villages.
Through the collaborative efforts of municipal and county leadership, along with committed staff, this water system has developed into a valuable regional resource.
