About Us
Passaic Valley Water Commission (PVWC) distributes a Water Quality Statement (also called Customer Confidence Report) to all customers annually, in compliance with the federal Safe Drinking Water Act. Reports are mailed to customers by July 1 each year and posted on the PVWC website for public access.
Each annual report provides water quality data from the previous calendar year. For example, the "2018 Consumer Confidence Report" contains water quality information from 2017. You can access recent Water Quality Reports for your service area using the links below.

PVWC is a public water provider owned jointly by the cities of Paterson, Clifton, and Passaic. The utility operates the Alan C. Levine Little Falls Water Treatment Plant (WTP), which serves as the primary treatment facility. For most PVWC customers, finished water from the Little Falls WTP is blended with treated water from North Jersey District Water Supply Commission's (NJDWSC) Wanaque WTP.
After treatment, the purified water is distributed through underground pipes to Paterson, Clifton, Passaic, Prospect Park, Lodi, North Arlington, parts of Woodland Park, and over 22 wholesale customers across Passaic, Bergen, Essex, Hudson and Morris Counties. Emergency interconnections with other water suppliers are maintained throughout the distribution system.
