Reynoldsburg proudly holds the title "The Birthplace of the Tomato." This distinction comes from the 19th century work of Alexander W. Livingston, who developed the 'Paragon Tomato'—recognized as the first commercially bred tomato variety. His legacy continues at the Livingston House and Museum on Graham Road, a National Registry of Historic Homes site.

The annual "Tomato Festival" celebrates this heritage each August, featuring culinary creations, judging competitions, games, food, and entertainment.
