About Us
We are proud to present our Annual Municipal Water Quality Report and confirm that our tap water meets all Federal and State requirements. This report aims to inform you about the high-quality water and services we've delivered over the past year.
Our primary objective has always been to provide customers with safe, reliable municipal water from our Crucible Plant, which draws from the Monongahela River surface water. The Southwestern Pennsylvania Water Authority continuously monitors your water components following strict Federal and State guidelines.
The data presented reflects our monitoring from January 1st through December 31st, 2017. All municipal water, including bottled water, can reasonably be expected to contain at least trace amounts of certain components. It's crucial to understand that the mere presence of these elements doesn't necessarily indicate a health risk.
All water sources potentially face contamination from either natural or human-made substances, which may appear as microbes, organic/inorganic chemicals, or radioactive materials. More detailed information about contaminants and potential health effects is available through the Environmental Protection Agency's Safe Drinking Water Hotline at 1-800-426-4791.
Our team at Southwestern Pennsylvania Water Authority works tirelessly to deliver top-quality water to every household. We encourage all customers to help protect our vital water resources, which are essential to our community, lifestyle, and our children's future.
