Why are there contaminants in my water?
All water, including bottled water, naturally contains some contaminants. Their presence doesn't necessarily indicate a health risk. For more information about contaminants and potential health effects, contact the EPA's Safe Drinking Water Hotline (800-426-4791).

The Water Division produces and distributes municipal water throughout the community. The City's water treatment facility located on Elm Point Road produces approximately 40% of our water needs, while the remaining 60% comes from the City of Saint Louis via a pump station in Heritage Landing Subdivision.

Our Water Division maintains and repairs the city's water infrastructure, including water mains, meters, treatment plants, pumping stations, and water storage facilities. As a full-service utility, we're responsible for:

  • Installation of new water service connections
  • Repair of water main breaks
  • Color-coding fire hydrants to indicate available flow capacity

Water Quality Commitment
