Warren Water District Municipal Water Report Info

The Warren Water District operates as a non-profit governmental entity established under Iowa State Code 357A. The District is governed by a nine-member Board of Directors elected from District Members.

Construction began in 1987, with initial operations launching March 11, 1988, serving 800 customers through 154 miles of pipeline. All construction phases reached completion by 2004. Today, the District serves 6700 customers, maintains nearly 1,200 miles of pipeline, and distributes approximately 1,700,000 gallons of water daily.

The District proudly serves rural households, farms, businesses, and communities throughout Warren County, Madison County, southern Dallas County, and portions of Polk County. Service areas include Martensdale, Milo, St. Charles, St. Marys, New Virginia, Truro, Bevington, Patterson, Ackworth, Earlham and Peru. Additional water supply is provided to Xenia Rural Water District, Lake Ahquabi State Park, Southeast Warren Schools, River Oaks Water Co., Hartford Mobile Home Park, and Camp Wesley Woods.

Water is purchased from Des Moines Water Works and distributed through nine booster stations to seven water towers. The District also developed, constructed and maintains wastewater systems for the towns of Bevington and Peru.
