Late Payment Penalties: Interest is calculated at an annual rate of 14% daily and applies to all payments received after the initial due date. Demand notices are issued for all unpaid water/sewer bills with a $10 demand fee assessed.
Payment Requirements: Postmarks are not acceptable; payments must be received by the due date to avoid interest and penalties. Any unpaid water/sewer charges will transfer to the following year's third quarter real estate bill as a lien, incurring additional fees.
Senior Discounts: Qualified seniors may receive a $25 annual discount. Contact the Department of Public Works to apply. Applications and renewals, required yearly, are accepted between January 1 and April 1.
