The Water and Sewer Department of Ashland is responsible for providing residents with clean municipal water and sewage collection that meets all EPA and DEP Standards. The department maintains approximately 2200 Sewer Manholes, 1600 Water Gates, 83 miles of water pipes, and 67 miles of sewer channels throughout the town.
The town's infrastructure includes 6,362 feet of Water service lines and 5,001 feet of Sewer service lines from the main connections. Wastewater from Ashland is pumped into Framingham's pipe network, which carries it to Deer Island for treatment by MWRA.
