About Us
Our Municipal Water Meets All Federal EPA Requirements
This report provides essential information about your municipal water supply and the efforts made by the City of Euless to deliver safe water to your home. The City of Euless proudly participates in the American Water Works Association.
Public Participation: We encourage community involvement in decisions affecting our water supply. City Council meetings are held on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 7 p.m. at Euless City Hall (201 N. Ector Dr). The public is always welcome to attend. Water Sources: Our municipal water comes from both surface and ground sources. We obtain water from Trinity Water Authority (Cedar Creek and Richland Chambers Lakes) and Euless wells (Trinity Aquifer). As water travels over land or underground, it dissolves natural minerals and can pick up substances from animal or human activities.
All drinking water, including bottled water, may contain at least small amounts of contaminants. Their presence doesn't necessarily indicate a health risk. For more information about contaminants, call the EPA's Safe Drinking Water Hotline at (800) 426-4791.
Potential Contaminants Include:
- Microbial contaminants (viruses, bacteria) from sewage treatment, septic systems, agricultural operations, and wildlife
- Inorganic contaminants (salts, metals) from urban runoff, industrial discharges, oil/gas production, or farming
- Pesticides and herbicides from agriculture, urban runoff, and residential uses
- Organic chemical contaminants from industrial processes, petroleum production, gas stations, and septic systems
Special Notice: Some individuals may be more vulnerable to certain contaminants than the general population. Immunocompromised persons, such as those undergoing chemotherapy, organ transplant recipients, people with HIV/AIDS, elderly individuals, and infants can be particularly at risk. These individuals should seek advice from healthcare providers about their drinking water.
Important Lead Information: Elevated lead levels can cause serious health problems, especially for pregnant women and young children. Lead primarily comes from materials in service lines and home plumbing. While we provide high-quality water, we can't control the materials used in plumbing components. If your water has been sitting for several hours, minimize lead exposure by flushing your tap for 30 seconds to 2 minutes before using water for drinking or cooking. If concerned, you may wish to have your water tested. Information on lead in drinking water is available at www.epa.gov/safewater/lead.

In 1879, Elisha Adam and Judy Trigg Euless purchased land south of Bear Creek and built a home and cotton gin near present-day Main Street and Euless Junior High School. That April, Euless petitioned Tarrant County to create a road from Bedford to the Dallas County line, requesting it pass by the "Grange Hall" on his property. The court approved and appointed Euless to the jury establishing the route.
The Grange Hall served as a community school until being demolished in the early 1900s. As the settlement flourished, grateful local farmers named the community after Adam Euless, whose arrival coincided with improved economic conditions.
In 1893, Adam Euless was elected Tarrant County sheriff, winning by a landslide against three opponents. Re-elected in 1894, he moved to Fort Worth and became the first sheriff to occupy an office in the newly built county courthouse. Health issues led to his retirement after two terms, and he passed away following a stroke in 1911. He was laid to rest in Fort Worth's Oakwood Cemetery.
From a modest population of just 25 residents in 1915, Euless has grown to over 54,000 by 2008. City officials preserve the area's heritage through careful restoration of historic structures including the Fuller House (first brick house in Euless), Himes Log House (dating from the 1850s), and McCormick Barn (constructed from Camp Bowie lumber after WWI). All three buildings are now located at Heritage Park (203 Cullum Drive).
Free tours of Heritage Park are available on the second Saturday of each month from 1-5 p.m. Special group tours can be arranged on other days based on staff availability. For museum information and tour details, call 817-685-1649.
