About Us
We are pleased to deliver this year's Annual Quality Water Report to our community. This document provides information about the water quality and services we provide daily. Our mission is to deliver safe, reliable, quality municipal water to all residents.
We make continuous efforts to enhance our water treatment processes and protect our valuable water resources. Our water comes from wells drawing from the Snake River Aquifer. We maintain a wellhead protection plan and source water assessment available at our office that identifies potential contamination sources.
We're proud to report that our municipal water meets or exceeds all federal and state requirements. Through rigorous monitoring and testing, we've detected some regulated substances, but the EPA has determined your water IS SAFE at these levels. We continuously monitor various components in the water supply to meet all regulatory standards.
Last year, we received a minor monitoring violation, but follow-up samples were clear of contaminants. This posed no risk to the quality of our water supply. All tap water, including bottled water, may reasonably contain at least small amounts of some contaminants. The presence of contaminants doesn't necessarily indicate a health risk.
For those concerned about potential lead exposure, we recommend identifying and addressing all possible sources of lead in your household. Thank you for allowing us to provide your family with clean, quality water. We occasionally need to make infrastructure improvements, which may affect our rate structure. We appreciate your understanding.
Some individuals may be more vulnerable to water contaminants than the general population. People with compromised immune systems, including those undergoing cancer treatment, organ transplant recipients, individuals with HIV/AIDS, elderly persons, and infants may face higher infection risks and should seek advice from healthcare providers regarding water consumption.
