South Carolina Water Utility Companies

We're pleased to present this year's Water Quality Report to our community. Our goal is to keep you informed about the quality of water we've delivered throughout the past year. We remain dedicated to providing you with safe, reliable municipal water.

Currently, we operate 9 wells drawing from several aquifers including the Tuscaloosa, Mendendorf, Floridan, and Black Creek. A comprehensive Source Water Assessment Plan has been developed for our system to ensure ongoing quality.

If you have questions about this report or your water service, please contact Wayne Crosby at 843-782-1020. We value you as customers and encourage your participation in our regularly scheduled meetings held on the second and fourth Tuesday monthly at 6:15 pm at City Hall.

This report details our water quality and its significance. The City of Walterboro consistently monitors for constituents in your tap water according to Federal and State regulations. As water travels across land or underground, it can collect various substances including microbes and chemicals. All municipal water, including bottled water, may reasonably contain at least small amounts of some constituents, though their presence doesn't necessarily indicate a health risk.
