The City of Clarksville Water Treatment Plant is proud to report that your municipal water meets all federal and state standards established by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Our water undergoes continuous testing throughout each day to ensure its safety for consumption.

We conduct thousands of tests monthly on water leaving our treatment facility and throughout the distribution system that delivers water to homes, businesses, and industrial sites across our community. As evident from the data in this brochure, our system had no EPA or state violations during the monitoring period from January 1, 2017 to January 31, 2017.

While our monitoring did detect small quantities of contaminants, all measurements were significantly below the acceptable thresholds established by EPA regulations. Our surface water comes from the Cumberland River, which, like all natural water sources, contains some dissolved minerals and, in certain cases, can pick up trace elements from animal or human activity.

Occasionally, residents may notice slight discoloration or white mineral deposits in their water. We continuously work to maintain quality standards that prevent these issues. The dedicated team at Clarksville Water Department works around the clock to deliver quality water to every tap. We ask all customers to help protect our valuable water sources, which are vital to our community, lifestyle, and our children's future.
