Florida Water Utility Companies

Talquin Electrical Cooperative, Inc. is proud to present this year's Annual Water Quality Report. We strive to keep you informed about the superior water and services we've delivered throughout the past year. Our mission has always been to provide you with safe, reliable water.

Our water supply comes from deep wells drawing from the Floridan Aquifer System, which supplies most Florida municipal systems. The exceptional quality of this groundwater means we only need to add chlorine for disinfection purposes.

All Talquin Electric water systems undergo regular monitoring for contaminants as required by federal and state regulations. The table in this report shows our monitoring results from January 1 through December 31, 2015. As permitted by the EPA, the state has reduced monitoring requirements for certain contaminants to less than annual testing since these concentration levels typically remain stable year to year. Some data, while representative, may be more than one year old.

Water sources (including both tap water and bottled water) include rivers, lakes, streams, ponds, reservoirs, springs, and wells. As water travels over land or underground, it dissolves natural minerals and, in some cases, radioactive materials, and can pick up substances from animal or human activity.

We want our valued customers to be informed about their water utility. If you have questions about this report or our water services, please contact John Hallas, Talquin Electric's Compliance Coordinator, at 850-562-2115. While there are no regularly scheduled public meetings about water services, you can arrange to meet with a Talquin Electric representative by calling the water services number above.
