Municipal Water Utility Company FAQ

For more information on your municipal water, visit the U.S. CDC:
Laurel County Water District #2 Municipal Water Company and CDC- What payment methods do you accept? Your bill can be paid via online credit card through our website, Automatic Bank Draft, check by mail, cash, check, or card at our office during business hours, or through your bank's billpay system. We maintain a 24/7 exterior drop box at our office for check payments only.
- I used my bank's billpay service for my water bill. My bank confirmed delivery before the due date, but I received a late fee. Why? This is a common issue we address monthly. First, your bank sends the payment check to a third-party printing and mailing service, not directly to us. We often receive one large envelope containing numerous payment checks from multiple banks. Second, your bank cannot verify when we actually receive your check in the mail since they don't use registered return receipt. The delivery date shown on your account is merely their estimate. Third, we process all payments on the day of receipt without holding any. Therefore, if payment isn't received before 5 pm on the due date, a penalty fee applies, regardless of transit status. Since postal service timing is beyond our control, we recommend billpay users schedule payments 7-10 business days in advance. To avoid postal delays, late fees, and credit card charges, consider enrolling in our no-fee Automatic Bank Draft program.
- I paid my bill online or via drop box the evening before disconnect day, but was still charged a fee. Why? All payments must be received by 5 pm on the due date to avoid penalties. Payments placed in the drop-box after 5 pm are processed the following day. We encourage all customers to submit payment before 5 pm on the due date to prevent additional charges.
- Can I receive my bill via email? Yes, click Manage My Account and follow the process to create an account. Once established, select View My Account and Make Payment tab, then "Profile." From there, you can opt to receive email statements.
- I'm having trash collection problems, who should I contact? For trash collection issues in Paloma Creek or Savannah, contact Waste Management at 1-800-772-8653. For Cross Oak Ranch, call IESI at 1-800-909-9061.
- I pay online; can you stop sending paper bills? Yes, log into your account via the "Pay My Bill" link, select "receive statement electronically," and you'll no longer receive paper bills and envelopes.
