Madison Utilities operates in Madison, Alabama, providing water and wastewater services to city residents and select Madison County customers. Established in 1958 as a public corporation, the utility has experienced significant growth in the past two decades. Under the guidance of a five-member Board, the organization is preparing for a promising future.

We aim to safeguard public health and the environment by delivering abundant, affordable, high-quality municipal water; providing environmentally responsible and cost-effective wastewater treatment and disposal; and offering efficient, reliable, and courteous service.

Board Meetings
The Madison Utilities Board meets regularly on the first and third Monday monthly at 5:30 p.m. Any schedule changes will be posted in advance on the door at 101 Ray Sanderson Drive. Please contact customer service to confirm upcoming dates and times. Individuals wishing to address the Board will receive five minutes if added to the agenda; those not on the agenda will be allowed three minutes. To be added to the agenda, please contact us at 256-772-0253 no later than 12:00 p.m. on the Thursday before the scheduled meeting.
