California Water Utility Companies

County Service Area 64 (CSA 64) within the Special Areas Department serves the Spring Valley Lake community with essential water services for approximately 14,419 residents. Our infrastructure includes:

  • Six operational wells
  • Three water reservoirs with 2.7 million gallon capacity
  • Approximately 36 miles of water distribution pipes
  • 3,897 metered connections using radio-read technology

Our management team works diligently to provide high-quality water to all customers. We maintain a rigorous testing schedule for bacteriological, chemical, and radiological contaminants throughout the year to ensure water quality standards are met.

This year's Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) contains vital information about contaminants detected in 2017 and previous years. Our primary responsibility is delivering safe, reliable water to all residents.

To ensure tap water safety, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) and State Water Resources Control Board establish limits on contaminant levels in public water systems. Similar regulations from the FDA and California law govern bottled water quality standards.

It's important to note that all water sources, including bottled water, may reasonably contain small amounts of certain contaminants. This doesn't necessarily indicate a health risk. For more information about contaminants and potential health effects, contact the USEPA's Safe Drinking Water Hotline at 1-800-426-4791 or visit their website.

SBNDO County Service Area 70J Municipal Water Report Info

This report reflects changes in water regulatory requirements from 2017. All water systems must comply with the State Total Coliform Regulation and, since April 2016, the federal Revised Total Coliform Rule.

The federal rule enhances public health protection by monitoring microbial presence (total coliform and E. coli bacteria) and maintaining water distribution system integrity. Systems exceeding specified coliform occurrences must conduct assessments to identify and correct sanitary defects.
