About Us
The 2017 Annual Water Quality Report outlines the quality standards of your municipal water supply, our ongoing improvement efforts, and how we protect our water resources. Our mission is to deliver safe, reliable water to all residents.
Stillwater's primary water source is Kaw Lake, located approximately 10 miles east of Ponca City in Kay County. This surface water is transported to our treatment facility at 1022 West Yost Street. During 2017, our facility provided over 2.3 billion gallons of purified water to Stillwater residents, five rural water districts, and numerous mobile home communities throughout Payne and Noble Counties.
Our water undergoes regular testing for various constituents in accordance with EPA federal and ODEQ state regulations. The data in this report covers January 1 through December 31, 2017. Some constituents are monitored less frequently based on required sampling schedules, with the most recent data reported.
All tap water, including bottled water, can reasonably be expected to contain at least trace amounts of certain constituents, which may include microorganisms, organic chemicals, radioactive materials, or other substances. It's important to understand that the presence of these constituents doesn't necessarily indicate a health risk.
As we continue our commitment to maintaining a safe, reliable water supply, infrastructure improvements may be necessary. These costs might be reflected in the rate structure, and adjustments to water rates may be required to fund these essential improvements.
For questions about this report or concerns about your water utility, please contact Water Resources Department Director William Millis at (405) 742-8325 or Water Treatment Plant Superintendent Thomas Novotny at (405) 533-8492.
