About Us
YOUR TAP WATER SOURCE
The City of Venice draws water from wells connected to the intermediate aquifer. This brackish water undergoes reverse osmosis treatment at our processing facility. After treatment, the water passes through aeration systems to eliminate hydrogen sulfide, and chlorine is added as a disinfectant.
Our certified State of Florida plant operators continuously monitor and adjust this process to ensure optimal quality. The finished water is then distributed to residents, businesses, and visitors throughout Venice.
Venice Water Department consistently monitors for contaminants according to Federal and State regulations. Unless otherwise noted, this report presents monitoring results from January 1, 2017 to December 31, 2017, with some earlier data included where required by regulations.
Through our rigorous testing program, we've detected some contaminants, but as shown in our results table, our system has maintained full compliance with all standards. This report aims to inform Venice residents about their municipal water quality and the services provided daily by our Utilities Department.
We encourage all customers to help protect our water sources—they're vital to our community, way of life, and our children's future.

Venice Municipal Airport operates independently and exclusively from its dedicated airport enterprise fund. The airport receives no funding from the city's general fund.
The airport generates revenues through management of all commercial aeronautical leases operating within Venice Municipal Airport. Additionally, Venice Municipal Airport leases T-hangars, shade hangars and tie-down spaces on monthly and annual bases, while our Fixed Based Operator (FBO) coordinates parking for visiting aircraft.
Non-aeronautical leases include the Venice Municipal Mobile Home Park. Airport administration manages all new and existing mobile home park lot leases. Questions regarding the mobile home park can be directed to 941-486-2711.
All special events scheduled at the Airport's Festival Grounds are coordinated through the City Manager's office.
