About Us
The City of Casselberry is proud to present this year's municipal water Consumer Confidence Report. Our goal is to keep residents informed about the quality water and services provided throughout the past year. The City's mission remains consistent: delivering safe, reliable water to all consumers.
Our Water Production Division operates three treatment facilities: North Plant, South Plant, and Howell Park. We draw water from wells in the Floridan Aquifer, then aerate it to eliminate sulfur odors and disinfect it to neutralize bacterial microorganisms. The South Water Treatment Plant additionally employs granular activated carbon filtration to remove disinfection byproduct precursors. We also add orthopolyphosphate for corrosion control, which extends the lifespan of water infrastructure and residential plumbing while reducing lead and copper residuals.
In 2017, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) conducted a Source Water Assessment of our system to identify potential contamination sources near our wells. They identified one potential contamination source with a low susceptibility level. Assessment results are available on the FDEP Source Water Assessment and Protection Program website or by contacting Casselberry Public Works at 407-262-7725.
We're pleased to report that our municipal water meets all federal and state requirements!
