SIPC member cooperatives provide electricity to over 100,000 end-users, primarily in residential and rural areas, with some increased industrial demand from the revitalized local coal industry. The total service population is approximately 250,000 residents.
The organization is governed by a 28-member Board, with each member distribution cooperative represented by their general manager and three directors. Board meetings occur monthly.
