About Us
In 2018, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection conducted a comprehensive Source Water Assessment of our system. This evaluation was performed to identify potential contamination sources near our wells. Seven potential contamination sources were identified with vulnerability ratings ranging from low to high.
The assessment information is available through the FDEP Source Water Assessment and Protection Program website at www.dep.state.fl.us/swap, or you can contact Mike Stewart, Water Manager at (850) 994-5129 for more details. If you have questions about this report or your water utility, please contact Damon Boutwell, General Administrator at (850)994-5129.
We encourage all customers to stay informed about their water supply. Monthly meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Water System Board Room at 4401 Woodbine Road, Pace, Florida 32571.
Pace Water System regularly monitors contaminants in your municipal water according to Federal and State regulations. This report reflects results from January 1 to December 31, 2018, along with some data obtained before January 2018 from our most recent testing.
The EPA sets limits on certain contaminants in public water systems to ensure tap water safety. FDA regulations establish similar limits for bottled water. All drinking water, including bottled water, may reasonably contain at least small amounts of some contaminants, which doesn't necessarily indicate a health risk.
Some people may be more vulnerable to contaminants than the general population. Immunocompromised individuals, cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy, organ transplant recipients, people with HIV/AIDS, elderly persons, and infants should seek advice from healthcare providers about their drinking water.
At Pace Water System, we work around the clock to provide quality water to every tap. We ask all customers to help protect our water sources, which are vital to our community and future generations.
