Tennessee Water Utility Companies

Your municipal water comes from Douglas Lake. We actively work to protect our water from contaminants and have collaborated with the State to assess the vulnerability of our water supply to contamination. The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) has established a Source Water Assessment Program (SWAP) Report for water sources serving this system.

Our water was assessed as moderately susceptible to potential contamination. You can review the assessment plan at the Water Plant Office located at 2432 Library Drive. The Source Water Assessment Plan is also viewable online at https://www.Tn.Gov/environment/program-areas/wr-water-resources/water-quality/source-waterassessment.html.

I'm pleased to confirm that our municipal water is safe and meets all federal and state requirements. This report details our water quality and what it means. If you have questions about this report or your water utility, please contact Lynn Light (plant superintendent) at 865-453-1275.

We want customers to be informed about their water utility. To learn more, please attend our regularly scheduled meetings held in the main auditorium of the City Hall complex at 5:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Monday monthly. The Pigeon Forge water system routinely monitors constituents in your municipal water according to Federal and State regulations. The table shows monitoring results from January 1st to December 31st, 2017.

Municipal water, including bottled water, may reasonably be expected to contain at least small amounts of some contaminants. It's important to understand that the presence of these contaminants doesn't necessarily indicate a health risk. For more information about contaminants and potential health effects, contact the Environmental Protection Agency's Safe Drinking Water Hotline at 1-800-426-4791.
