About Us
Rainbow Municipal Water District (RMWD) is pleased to present our Annual Water Quality Report for 2017. This document provides a comprehensive overview of water quality data collected during 2016. We've included essential information about your water source, composition, and how it measures against Federal and State standards.
Please note that our annual water quality reports are compiled each spring using data from the previous year. The 2017 report will be finalized by early June 2018 and published on our website.

About The District
The Rainbow Municipal Water District was established in 1953 as a Special District under Section 71000 of the California Water Code. As a member of the San Diego County Water Authority, RMWD delivers water and sanitation services to the unincorporated communities of Rainbow, Bonsall, and portions of Vista, Oceanside, and Fallbrook.
The District is governed by a 5-member elected Board representing 5 Divisions. 100% of our water is imported from two locations: the Lake Skinner Water Treatment Plant in Hemet and the Twin Oaks Valley Water Treatment Plant in San Marcos.
Rainbow MWD maintains an extensive infrastructure including over 315 miles of water mains, 7 pump stations, 4 reservoirs, and 13 storage tanks to serve our customers. We also provide sewer services to portions of our District through 6 lift stations and 60 miles of sewer mains.
