Thomas Township welcomes Saginaw Control & Engineering to its Great Lakes Tech Park located on Graham Road just north of Gratiot. The Thomas Township Planning Commission reviewed and approved the site plan for Saginaw Control on November 28, 2018, presented by Rick Keith of Wolgast Design Group, the project designer.

The facility will be constructed on approximately 40 acres, featuring 22,600 square feet of office space and roughly 120,000 square feet dedicated to warehouse and manufacturing operations. Business expansion is underway for Saginaw Control & Engineering as this new development complements their existing plant on M-47 and Gratiot in Saginaw Township, representing a significant plant expansion.

This promising venture will create approximately 35 new positions to operate the extensive new facility. The project marks just the beginning, with space allocated for up to three additional similarly-sized expansions in the future. Pumford Construction received the building permit in February, and construction has already commenced. The entire project is expected to reach completion in approximately 10 months.
