Lee County Utilities (LCU) is proud to present this overview of water quality supplied to our customers during the past year. This report aims to inform you about your municipal water quality and services we deliver daily.

LCU remains committed to providing the most dependable and reliable water service possible. The Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) requires utilities to issue this annual Consumer Confidence Report along with other legally mandated notices. We believe informed customers are our greatest allies in maintaining high water quality standards.

Our team routinely monitors for contaminants in your water according to federal and state regulations. We collect samples and conduct water quality testing through certified laboratories at the Lee County Department of Health and the Lee County Environmental Laboratory to ensure your water supply meets safety standards for human consumption.

Unless otherwise indicated, this report presents findings from monitoring conducted between January 1, 2017 and December 31, 2017. Data obtained before January 2017 represents the most recent testing performed in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requires monitoring of over 80 water contaminants. The contaminants listed in the tables are the only ones detected in your water. Florida regulations allow certain contaminants to be tested less than annually as concentrations typically remain stable over time.

We encourage public involvement in decisions affecting drinking water quality. The Lee County Board of County Commissioners holds regular meetings every first and third Tuesday at the Lee County Courthouse (2120 Main Street, Fort Myers) beginning at 9:30 am. Meeting agendas are available through Lee Cares at 2115 Second Street, Fort Myers, or online at www.leegov.com. The Board also holds public hearings at 5:00 pm on the first and third Tuesday of each month.

1. What should I do if my sewer backs up? Please contact the Water Reclamation Division at (641) 421-3682. City collection system personnel will verify the City's sewer lines are functioning properly.
2. What is the phone number for the Clerk of Court? The Cerro Gordo County Clerk of Court can be reached at (641) 424-6431.
3. When and where does the City Council meet? Regular City Council meetings occur the first and third Tuesdays monthly at 7:00 p.m. in the Mason City Room of the Public Library (225 2nd Street SE). Residents can watch meetings live on Cable Channel 4, with daily rebroadcasts at 1:00 a.m., 7:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 7:00 p.m. Live streaming is available 24/7 online, with archived meetings accessible for viewing anytime. If a major holiday falls on a scheduled meeting Tuesday, the meeting will be held the following Wednesday or on a date specified by the City Council.
