New Jersey Water Utility Companies

We are pleased to share this year's Annual Municipal Water Quality Report with you. This document provides information about the high-quality water and services we deliver to you daily.

Our primary mission is to provide safe, dependable water. Our supply comes from wells that draw groundwater from the Piney Point Aquifer at depths exceeding 500 feet. The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) has completed a Source Water Assessment Report for our system, available at WWW.Country.Nj.Us/dep/change or by contacting NJDEP's Bureau of Safe Municipal Water at (609) 292-5550. You may also reach our system directly at 732-793-5100.

Our susceptibility ratings and potential contaminant sources are available for review. We maintain a source water protection plan at our office with additional contamination source information.

Certain individuals may be more vulnerable to water contaminants than the general population. People with compromised immune systems—including those undergoing chemotherapy, organ transplant recipients, individuals with HIV/AIDS, elderly persons, and infants—should consult healthcare providers about their municipal water consumption. EPA/CDC guidelines for reducing infection risk from Cryptosporidium and other microbiological contaminants are available from the Safe Municipal Water Hotline (800-426-4791).

Seaside Park Water Department Municipal Water Report Info

Seaside Park is a Borough in Ocean County, New Jersey with approximately 2,263 residents. Located on the Barnegat Peninsula, this narrow barrier island separates the mainland from the Atlantic Ocean. Initially part of Dover Township (now Toms River Township), Seaside Park was incorporated after Berkeley Township's creation in 1875.

The area became known as the "Ocean Side Park" section of Berkeley Township. During the subsequent 25 years, property sales increased, homes and infrastructure developed, and the population steadily grew. Acting Governor of New Jersey, Senate President Foster M. Voorhees, signed legislation on March 3, 1898, establishing "Ocean Side Park" as an independent borough from Berkeley Township portions.

Originally extending from 14th Avenue to North Avenue—roughly half its current size—the borough later annexed the Berkeley Tract area north of the original boundaries around May 12, 1900. As the community expanded, its name evolved. In 1914, a municipal clerk simplified the spelling to "Seaside Park" in official minutes, a practice that continues today.
