  1. Where can I find the rules and guidelines of the cemetery? Please refer to the following PDF: City of Kilgore Cemetery Rules & Regulations.
  2. What are the hours of the cemetery? All three cemeteries open at 8:00 am and close at sundown.

  5. What is the price of a lot and what does it cover? Kilgore Memorial Gardens: $1575 for individual 5' x 10' areas, $800 for cremation spaces, and $100 for infant areas (at time of need only); Danville: $1200 for adult 40" x 9" areas and 5' x 10' spaces in new sections, $600 for cremation areas, and $100 for infant areas (at time of need only); Kilgore City Cemetery: contingent upon seller's price (Please note these lots are for sale by owner and not managed by the City of Kilgore.) The cost covers burial rights only, not opening/closing or liner costs.
  6. Is there an installment plan for payment? No financing is available. All purchases must be completed in a single transaction.
  7. Do I own this cemetery asset? No. Purchase secures sepulture rights or right to bury someone in the purchased space.
  8. Is a liner required? Yes. A metal or cement lining is required in all three cemeteries.
  9. Can I plant trees or do landscaping in the cemetery? No. Planting trees, shrubs or any landscaping at the cemetery is prohibited.
  10. What are monument size requirements? The base should not exceed the cemetery lot length (approximately 5 feet).
  11. What if a grave has sunken? Contact the Cemetery Department at (903) 988-4128.
  12. Can I place a bench on the grave? Please refer to the Benches section in the City of Kilgore Cemetery Rules & Regulations.
