Carroll's Creek Water Authority was established in 1979 as a non-profit distribution center. Our water resources are purchased from the City of Tuscaloosa, which supplies treated water from Lake Tuscaloosa.

Our team regularly monitors water quality throughout the distribution system to ensure it meets your household needs. We're committed to providing the highest quality water that complies with all standards set by the Environmental Protection Agency and the Alabama Department of Environmental Management.

How can I pay my water bill?

  1. Pay Online: Access our online system with your credit card. Look up your invoice using your address or last name.
  2. Pay in Person: Visit the Treasurer's Office in City Hall with cash, check, money order or credit card during business hours:
    • Monday: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
    • Tuesday: 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
    • Wednesday-Thursday: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
    • Friday: 7:30 a.m. to noon
  3. 24-Hour DropBox: Available in the drive to City Hall for after-hours payments.
  4. Telephone: Call 844.400.3552 with your account number ready. Note: 3% fee (minimum $2.00) applies.

Why is my water bill higher than normal?

First, verify your meter reading. If the bill reading is higher than your meter shows, contact our billing office at 616.554.0734 for evaluation. If your meter reads higher than the bill, check for:

  • Running toilets or improper cycling
  • Improperly winterized sprinkler systems
  • Water softener cycling issues

How do I change the name on my water bill or handle move-out?

Contact our office when moving into Kentwood. For Grand Rapids water district, contact their office for final billing. For Wyoming water district, call 616.554.0734 to schedule a meter reading.

How do I connect to City Water and Sewer?

Contact the appropriate water district office for connection fees and procedures. For single-family homes, typical fees include $90 Water Trunkage fee and $210 Sewer Trunkage fee.
