About Us
When You Turn on Your Tap, Consider the Source
The water utilized by this system comes from surface water at Graham-Mebane Lake, located at 3218 Bason Rd, Mebane, NC 27302.
Source Water Assessment Program (SWAP) Results
North Carolina's Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Public Water Supply (PWS) Section conducted assessments for all water sources across the state. These evaluations aimed to determine each water supply's vulnerability to Potential Contaminant Sources (PCSs). Assessment results are available in SWAP Reports featuring maps, background information, and susceptibility ratings (Higher, Moderate or Lower).
The susceptibility rating for City of Graham was calculated by combining the contaminant rating (number and location of PCSs in the assessment area) with the inherent vulnerability score (characteristics of the watershed and assessment area).
