West View Water Authority is committed to providing residents with safe, reliable municipal water. The water produced consistently meets or exceeds strict state and federal quality standards. This annual "Consumer Confidence Report," required by the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA), informs you about your water source, our testing results, and essential information about your tap water.

Public participation in decisions regarding our municipal water is encouraged at our Board Meetings, held the third Wednesday of each month at 210 Perry Highway, West View. For more information, please contact our office at (412) 931-3292.

Water Quality Data for Allegheny County water systems can be found online at http://www.Drinkingwater.State.Pa.Us/.

Our Water Source: The West View treatment plant is located on Neville Island along the Ohio River shoreline. We source our water from an intake structure in the Ohio River. The PA Department of Environmental Protection completed a Source Water Assessment of our supply, identifying potential vulnerability from transportation corridors, bridges, marinas, barge traffic, auto repair shops, truck terminals, utility substations, residential areas, combined sewer overflows, road deicing, and salt storage. Overall, our source has high risk of significant contamination.

A detailed assessment report is available on the Source Water Assessment Summary Reports eLibrary web page at http://www.Elibrary.Dep.State.Pa.Us/dsweb/View/Collection-10045. Complete reports were distributed to municipalities, water suppliers, planning agencies and PADEP offices. Copies are available for review at the Pennsylvania DEP Southwest Regional Office, Records Management Unit at (412) 442-4000.
