About Us
EMWD has once again exceeded all federal and state water quality standards established by the State Water Resources Control Board's Division of Drinking Water and the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
Throughout the year, water samples are collected from EMWD's 29 water sources to meticulously test for 200 contaminants and impurities. In 2016, EMWD's laboratory staff gathered 6,316 water samples and conducted 40,060 tests to monitor and ensure quality.
"EMWD is deeply committed to providing our customers with safe and reliable water, and we're pleased to fulfill that responsibility again," said EMWD President David Slawson. "We encourage our customers to review the science-based Consumer Confidence Report and learn about the high-quality water that EMWD delivers daily."
The report is available digitally at www.emwd.org/2017ccr. All customers will receive notification postcards about the online report. Customers who previously requested printed copies will receive them by mail.
